Crocheted Owl Hat
My sisters Daughter in Law is having a baby!! I am very excited for their family. I love making homemade gifts and a crocheted hat is perfect to bring the new baby home in. I made several different ones and this one is my favorite! It was a little bit of a challenge getting the appliques right, but after a couple hats, I had it down.
I can not wait to have my own grandchildren running around! I love crocheting baby items – booties, hats, blankets, bibs…. For her baby shower I am making some crocheted items. Searching for cute ideas, I came across repeat crafter me’s website! She has a lot of great ideas and easy to follow patterns.
I found this cute hat to make for my sisters new grandson, and a lot of other wonderful crocheted ideas! Check out her website at: repeatcrafterme.com. While scrolling through some other patterns, I found a drowy owl hat version. Same hat pattern with different eyes and a cute little hat topper for the owl!!
My finished owl hat
When I made the drowsy owl hat, I placed the eyes closer… I had sewed the eyes on my first owl hat so tightly I couldn’t redo them. I recommend using pins to pin the eyes placement then sewing them on. The drowsy eye hat has more parts to it and took more time but it is soo adorable! I recommend giving it a try. You won’t regret it.
