The beauty and raw power of the Ocean is one of my favorite things in the world. I love to walk the beach and beach comb. Rocks, Sea shells, sea life and different types of sea weed all wash ashore. We found some live crabs the last time we were walking the beach at low tide. We were able to help a couple crabs get back in the deeper water before the seagulls made them into their lunch.

Deeper waters = Safety from the Gulls
Along the Oregon Coast we have a lot of different rocks. We love to look for the ‘treasured’ rocks…. Fossils, Agates. The Oregon coast is known for the variety of Agates in so many colors and shades. Green, Amber, White, Blue-Grey…. No two are alike and so many shades in between. They have a milky-ness to them. The different season will bring ashore different agates and ‘treasures’. There have been Japanese glass floats found too. But they are rare, most boats have changed to plastic floats. We found some rocks, crabs and sea garbage this last trip.
Tide pools are also abundant during low tides and is some areas of the Oregon Coast like my favorite tide pool place, Bandon, Oregon, you will always find wonderful tide pools.
The Oregon Coast is my favorite place to relax, unwind and decompress. If you have the ability to come to Oregon, make a point to visit the coast. And put your toes in her Sand!! You won’t regret it.
